S2: Episode 5: Jose Flores | Don’t let your struggle become your standard

Jose Flores is a man who has achieved much in his life, but to achieve all of that he has had to overcome his physical disability. Jose suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a type of muscular dystrophy. When he was young, his doctors said that he wouldn't make it to the age of 19. He is currently 44. Since the age of 22, he has been confined to a wheelchair, but none of this has stopped him from achieving his fullest potential.

Early in his adult working life and despite his disabilities Jose worked his way up to a managerial position. Holding that job gave him some of the experience to succeed at what he does now. He is currently the CEO and Founder of Indispensable Now. He is a Global Motivator, a Mindset Disruptor and a #1 Best-Selling Author of "Don't Let Your Struggle Become Your Standard." Despite his condition, he wakes up every day to educate, inspire, and motivate.

Jose believes that everyone should strive to become their best self, no matter what they are facing. He speaks at colleges, non-profit organizations, corporations, and business seminars every year to try and show people that your struggle can become your success. He's been featured on many television news networks, including FOX, NBC, and ABC. He's doing everything he can to reach as many people as possible and have a positive influence on their lives.

Have you ever thought about how your life would change if you had a disability? If you have then I’m sure you thought about how it would limit you.

Jose Flores has a type of muscular dystrophy called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This disease slowly decreases the amount of mobility you have over time. His doctors believed that he wouldn't make it to his 19th birthday...he is now 44. This simple fact demonstrates how much of an overcomer Jose is, but he didn't stop there.

Jose Flores is CEO and Founder of Indispensable Now. He's a Global Motivator, Mindset Disruptor, and #1 Best-Selling Author. Jose speaks all over the world using his unique story of growing up with a physical disability and how you can use the power of your mind to overcome anything. His main message is to never allow your struggle to become your standard and how to dominate your life and business.

At one point in his life he was worried that he wasn't going to have purpose or find love, and he overcame both of these fears to become his best self.

Jose lets us know that life is all about mindset, and you can always take the steps needed to be the best version of yourself. There is nothing that can hold you back but you and your thoughts, and Jose is here to motivate people into become all they can be. In this episode, you will hear:

  • About Jose's life and medical condition and most importantly how this condition doesn't define him.

  • You will learn about how to adapt and change to every situation.

  • The important things in life aren't what you don't have, but what you do have.

  • How to seize your dreams and turn them into realities.
