S5: Episode 5 - Frank Pucher | Be Honest With Yourself

Frank Pucher is a man that Travis and Cyndy know personally. He’s been a helpful mentor for many years, and he’s the head of the Todd Durkin Mastermind. He’s been an overcomer in his personal life, in business, and when it comes to his health and fitness. To know the man that they interviewed today, you have to know how he got to where he is today.

Frank has been in the fitness industry for many years. He owned his own gym, called Fitness 1-2-1. It was in business for almost 20 years. In this time he was a fitness coach, personal trainer, and successful business owner. About half way through his time owning Fitness 1-2-1, they ran into some hard times. In 2009, Frank had a moment when he realized that, for the first time ever, he wasn’t going to make payroll, and that started a period of time where, for several months, he didn’t take any pay from his gym, to make sure that his employees would get paid. He eventually got things back under control, and proceeded to run the business until 2018, but it took a lot out of him and his family to make it through that time.

Frank also had a run in with cancer. In 2014 he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. As he’s done with many things in his life, he stayed strong through all of it, and decided to go through all the treatments that they recommended. They cut into him, removed his thyroid, and then put him through very serious rounds of radiation, and Frank came out on the other end a cancer-free man. Through this tough time in his life, he leaned on his wife quite a bit, but, sadly, his marriage would be another thing to overcome.

Frank and his wife slowly grew apart over the years, and they decided to get a divorce. He says that his divorce was quite amicable, and that he still has a lot of respect for his ex-wife. There’s no hate between them, but they decided that going their separate ways was going to be for the best because they had just become different people than they were when they were together. While everything went smoothly, separating from someone who has been there for you for so many years of your life, good and bad, is never easy.

Now Frank is in his 50’s, and at the age of 50, he was feeling really good physically. He had taken really good care of himself for many years, and he decided that he wanted to start competing in fitness competitions again, and so he did. So, at the age of 50, he is running and competing at a very high level. Age doesn’t even seem to matter to this man!

Frank Pucher has so much wisdom and insight on life, please come and check out the whole interview that Travis and Cyndy did with him. We all hope that you get as much as we did. Thank you, Frank, we can’t wait to see you again!
