S6: Episode 1 - Lindsey and Anthony Passamonte | Creating Impact and Overcoming Obstacles

Updated: May 28, 2022

On today’s episode of the Overcomer’s Podcast we have the Co-Owners and Inventors of StackTrax LLC, Lindsey & Anthony Passamonte. They are certified personal trainers and nutrition coaches with over 30 years of collective experience in the health and fitness industry. With everything Lindsey and Anthony have built over the years they partnered with Spartan Race in 2022 as their strategic planners for the community of racers preparing for races and who tackle the course on race day, creating connections, better customer experiences, and a stronger community of Spartans who are helping rip 100 million people off the couches to live a happier and healthier life.

Lindsey & Anthony are asked by many how to survive a Spartan race. Many feel that they aren’t ready for it, but Anthony asks “Why wouldn't you be able to do it?” There are many things throughout life that get thrown at you that you don’t know how to do. A Spartan race isn’t any different. Sometimes you just need the education and other times you might need help and support from a community. Lindsay and Anthony were gracious enough to share with us the Spartan Ready for Anything booklet, the StackTrax Race Day Protocol and the StackTrax Workout Guide. You can find them here:

Anthony and Lindsey state that some of the most important elements to get started with training are having a strong community and what they call a CCA. Consistency, Commitment and Accountability. These are essential parts of training for the Spartan race. You need a support system to encourage you no matter how weak or unprepared you may be and a belief that you know that you're good. Lindsey says that it’s 50% mental and 50% physical. Everyone has the ability to do it right now.

During a Spartan race, you are going to have to overcome both mental and physical obstacles. Anthony and Lindsey encourage us to do some hill climbs, go power walking, go and hang from a tree, do some farmer's carries, and work on your grip strength. The things that aren’t pretty and the boring things are the things that will help prepare you for Spartan races. Having a good supplement to help your muscles fire correctly and circulate your blood is also important. There are many things on the market, but Joe DeSena teamed up with a company to formulate a supplement that gives your body certain things that it’s losing on a course. Check out the podcast or go to https://www.spartan.com/collections/nutrition to learn more about these great supplements.
